Everyday, thousands of construction workers are exposed to possible injuries and death at work sites. Recognition of hazardous conditions is critical and is the driving force behind Clawson Communications, Inc.'s safety program.
Training is imperative to our employees to avoid accidents and reduce risk of injury. Clawson Communications, Inc is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
To protect our employees, CCI has implemented the following:
Safety Director
Full-time, on site Safety Director to oversee Safety & Health program; as well as being an OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer.
CCI Safety Team
The Safety Team was developed in May of 2003 and is composed of management and construction employees. This Safety Team meets on a monthly basis and its goal is to be proactive in providing and preserving a safe and efficient working environment for all of our employees.
Safety Training
The safety training includes new hire orientation, weekly tool box meetings, mandatory quarterly safety meetings and training, OSHA 10-hour Construction Outreach training for all field employees, OSHA 30-hour Construction Outreach training for all supervisors, hazard identification training, PPE training, Hazard Communication / Right to Know and SDS training, CPR/AED and basic first aid training, Confined Space Training, and task specific training.
Drug Testing
As part of CCI’s Drug Free Workplace Program, the drug screening includes pre-employment, post-accident, random, DOT random testing of CDL operators, and annual testing as part of the membership with the Coalition for Construction Safety (CCS).
Rewards Program
The Rewards Program includes quarterly safety meeting giveaways such as hand and power tools, clothing, camping gear, etc.; as well as annual rewards for employees demonstrating exceptional safe work habits and safe job sites, and an annual Safety Employee of the Year Award.

DISA Screenings
All new Clawson Communications, Inc. employees are screened under the DISA screening process. Employees are also screened annually using DISA’s process, the highest standards of safety and quality worker screenings.
